Ho‘okipa Beach Park, managed by the County of Maui, will be closed to general public use and reserved only for event activities from 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 30, through 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 2, 2026.
This temporary restriction is to accommodate the inaugural Hawai‘i High School Athletic Association (HHSAA) Surfing State Championships, according to the County Department of Parks and Recreation. Normal public access will resume at 5 p.m. on May 2.
Spectators are encouraged to follow posted signs for parking instructions. Drivers in the area should use caution and be prepared for traffic delays during the event. Hana and Beyond will bypass this stop due to event-related restrictions.
