"Kaumahina State Wayside Park along the Hāna Highway will be temporarily closed until June 22nd for a tree removal project."
The closure is essential to manage several hazardous trees that present a considerable safety threat to park visitors. The process will include cutting, limbing, removing, and transporting the trees with heavy machinery. During this time, the park will be off-limits to both vehicles and pedestrians. Entry will be prohibited to ensure the safety of both visitors and workers.
